A Bus Ride to the Famous Hotels of Singapore
Four Seasons Hotel – Singapore This hotel is one of the most magnificient hotels that has been housed in a huge 20 storey building right across Orchard Road. Guests who have stayed here have always claimed that the hotel is a residential paradise located just minutes away from some of the best shopping centres, family attractions and the bustling financial districts of the city. Although it is a little far from the international airport you can easily reach this hotel by bus if you are coming inside the city from Malaysia. The hotel also has one of the best onsite restaurants named ‘One Ninety’ which is one of the most unique restaurant that I have ever seen. The restaurant has a warm wood decor and is known to serve international as well as local specialities like Laksa and Wonton noodles. It is a global award winner for 2017 and a stay here will cost you about SGD360. The hotel houses about 265 guest rooms as well as a full service spa with the best natural treatments. You will never find the swimming pools crowded as the hotel has about 4 pools spread across the premises. If you have checked in to this hotel while on a business visit you will be delighted to know that the hotel also has a state of the art and modern business centre.
Since I was visiting Singapore from Malaysia via road, I chose to do so by Bus. I booked my bus tickets from www.redbus.sg . As per the website there were about 3 Operators plying daily buses between Malaysia and Singapore. Star Mart Express, Pacific Express and 5 Star Tours together had about 11 to 12 buses plying in the entire day. Star Mart Express had about 5 buses plying right from 7:00 am till 8:00 pm. Cost of a single ticket is about SGD14.7 which is quite affordable. Pacific Express and 5 star tours are both luxury coach operators having about 6 buses plying in the entire day starting from 10:00 am in the morning till 5:00 pm. Tickets are usually priced on a higher side starting from SGD55.
Fullerton Hotel – Singapore This hotel is a large grand hotel built completely with white bricks and is located quite close to the Marina bay area. Since the airport is qbout 17 kms away reaching here by bus would be one of the best option. It is in close promixity to signature landmarks like Orchard Road which is one of the best shopping destinations, Suntec City Convention and Exhibition Centre, Little India and one of the most visited places of Singapore which is Clarke Quay. It is also minutes away from some of the biggest festival markets which are known to offer unique items at dirt cheap prices. These items are spread across different stalls that are set up from as early as 7:00 am in the morning. A stay in this hotel will cost you aboutr SGD339 and I felt that it was definitely worth the price.
